Employed for removing excess moisture form the atmosphere, the De-Humidifier utilizes a compressor that has been hermetically sealed, and is fabricated from Mild Steel sheets that have been uniformly coated with epoxy powder. They are based on the Water Condensing varieties that employ a Refrigeration Cycle mechanism to avoid the usage of economically nonviable chemicals required for models that are made in line with the descant types. Copper is brought to use for making the Heat Exchanger and Water Condensing Coils and beneath them, a water collection tank is provided for collecting the condensate water. A Humidistat or Digital Humidity Indicator cum Controller is installed in the unit for maintenance of humidity levels with a range of up to 30% ± 3% RH, which is in turn dependent on the dimensions of the space provided and the ambient conditions. In order to achieve relatively low humidity levels, the space is supposed to have an independent window type air conditioning system to handle the heat load from the De-Humidifier, and works ideally on a 220/230 Volt AC supply.
